Overeaters Anonymous Meeting
When: Every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. and every Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Where: St. Vincent De Paul Society Building, 117 Norwood Avenue (Behind St. Augustines' Church)
For all with food problems (overeaters, undereaters etc.) - No weigh-ins and no fees
Overeaters Anonymous offers a program of recovery from compulsive overeating using the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of OA. Overeaters Anonymous provides a fellowship of experience, strength and hope where members respect one another's anonymity. There are no dues or fees; it is self-supporting through member contributions.
Unlike other organizations, Overeaters Anonymous is not just about weight loss, obesity or diets; it addresses physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is not a religious organization and does not promote any particular diet. To address weight loss, members are encouraged to develop a food plan with a health care professional and a sponsor.
